Diamond Announces Low-Interest Loan Awarded to Richland

HARRISBURG – A low-interest loan awarded this week to Richland Borough will help the municipality install a 500,000-gallon water tank, according to Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon).

The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) approved a $4.1 million loan with interest rates ranging from 1.743% to 2.179% over 20 years.

“Richland is seeking to install an elevated tank to replace its existing one and ensure the community is well served for decades to come,” Diamond said. “I’m thankful PENNVEST saw the importance of this worthwhile project.”

The water tank will be connected to communications and mixing systems that include an emergency generator.

PENNVEST is an independent state agency that provides financial assistance for sewer, storm water and drinking water projects in communities across the commonwealth.
