Diamond Announces $280,000 in Fire, EMS Grant Funding

February 13, 2025

HARRISBURG – Seventeen fire and emergency medical service organizations in the 102nd District were awarded nearly $280,000 in funding through the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, according to Rep. Russ Diamond (R-Lebanon).

The funding comes from an ongoing grant program created by the Legislature. The program is administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.

“Our firefighters and EMS personnel work very hard and make daily sacrifices to serve and protect our municipalities. Most of these companies are run exclusively by volunteers, who need to make equipment and safety upgrades to continue doing their jobs effectively,” said Diamond. “These grant awards are just one way we show our support for all they do.”

Grants awarded within the 102nd District are:
• Bellegrove Fire Co., $13,309.
• Bunker Hill Fire Co., $13,309.
• Citizens Fire Co. No. 1, $16,322.
